Green Daffodil Spring Pop-up

In case you missed it, here’s my display from the Spring Artist Pop-up at Green Daffodil a few weeks ago. Thanks to all who came and checked out the goods. I expect to be back at a holiday pop-up this November, so stay tuned!

So much fabric, so little time!

Wow, I just scored 5 overflowing bags of aaahhhh-maayyyyy-zing fabric from my favorite upcycling source.

This is my dog Jack, helping me sort it all.

Okay, now we’re getting somewhere…

More piles of delightful designs.

Yarn, too!

What a cute gift…. bag

Giving a small gift and want to jazz it up a little bit? These cute drawstring bags are the perfect size for trinkets, jewelry, smelly soaps, candles, etc.

Sunday Night Blues

Ugh, is the weekend really over already?!? There’s never enough time, but I finished up these blue jean babies as the sun was going down on an absolutely beautiful Sunday – the kind of day you never want to end. I rediscovered a bunch of denim in my stash and I’m excited to make a few more things with it (I have a ton of old jeans!)… and, knowing that there are more days coming like today, I think I can survive the Sunday Night Blues.

Just in time for Mother’s Day

Please join me on Saturday, May 13 for a Spring Artist Pop-up at Green Daffodil in Ferndale. I’ll be one of three guest artists set up at the shop/studio selling my wares that day. If you haven’t been to Green Daffodil yet, this is the perfect reason to go. Last-minute shoppers, don’t worry – I can pretty much guarantee you’ll find something special for your mom here! Details are on the postcard below. And below that are some of the things I’ll be bringing with me – plus lots more.

Thinking Spring

Let’s DO this!

getitdoneI actually do NOT feel like procrastinating… I am about to go get some serious stuff done. However, this does describe me at the moment as I try to figure out what to do first. Let me just ponder that over my coffee…..

May 13 – Save the Date!

greendaffNeed the perfect Mother’s Day gift? I’ll be one of a few featured artists at a pop-up shop at Green Daffodil Studio in Ferndale on Saturday, May 13. More details to come, but I promise you there are plenty of great gifts to be found here, so it’s totally okay to wait till the day before to get that gift. Stay tuned, and visit Green Daffodil’s Facebook page to get the latest info. The studio is located at 624 Livernois St, Ferndale, Michigan.

I’ve been eyeing this elephant print fabric in my stash and just waiting for the right idea that would make the most of it. It finally hit me… a yoga mat bag! I’ve been practicing yoga regularly for over 10 years and it inspires me in many ways. A fellow student recently complimented me on my own bag that I use (which I did not make), and it reminded me I’ve been wanting to make one. This bag is a brand new experiment for me… and I must say, I’m pretty darn happy with how it came out.

Happy New Year!

Here’s my first real project of the new year: a giant dog pillow! I found myself with a big pile of upholstery squares in a variety of cool patterns and colors and next thing you know, I was lining them up, sewing them together and I couldn’t stop! My initial plan was to post for sale on etsy but my pups had other ideas… I barely finished stuffing it and Jack cozied himself on it! Jack didn’t want to share at first, but Finnegan finally did claim some time on it and they both seem to love it so much, I might just chalk this one up to practice and keep it.
