What a cute gift…. bag
Sunday Night Blues
Ugh, is the weekend really over already?!? There’s never enough time, but I finished up these blue jean babies as the sun was going down on an absolutely beautiful Sunday – the kind of day you never want to end. I rediscovered a bunch of denim in my stash and I’m excited to make a few more things with it (I have a ton of old jeans!)… and, knowing that there are more days coming like today, I think I can survive the Sunday Night Blues.

Namaste
I’ve been eyeing this elephant print fabric in my stash and just waiting for the right idea that would make the most of it. It finally hit me… a yoga mat bag! I’ve been practicing yoga regularly for over 10 years and it inspires me in many ways. A fellow student recently complimented me on my own bag that I use (which I did not make), and it reminded me I’ve been wanting to make one. This bag is a brand new experiment for me… and I must say, I’m pretty darn happy with how it came out.
Happy New Year!
Here’s my first real project of the new year: a giant dog pillow! I found myself with a big pile of upholstery squares in a variety of cool patterns and colors and next thing you know, I was lining them up, sewing them together and I couldn’t stop! My initial plan was to post for sale on etsy but my pups had other ideas… I barely finished stuffing it and Jack cozied himself on it! Jack didn’t want to share at first, but Finnegan finally did claim some time on it and they both seem to love it so much, I might just chalk this one up to practice and keep it.
Come see what’s new!
Hi friends! I hope you’ll join me at the Ridge Show on Saturday, November 19th. Here are some of my recent creations that I’ll have with me, along with lots more – I’ve been so busy creating that I haven’t had time to stop and take more pictures!
