Remember when…

Handmade glass bead bracelet

Just looking at old pictures and remembering my glass bead days…. I sorta miss them! But all my equipment and supplies are still there, just waiting for me to start up again, so who knows?!

Placemat Project

You know what they say…. when life gives you placemats, make a purse! Okay, nobody says that, but I’ve been loving this woven sort of fabric I’ve seen on pillows, purses and bags lately, so when I saw these placemats at a garage sale – ELEVEN of them – my mind starting churning with ideas. So here’s the first creation to come out of my ‘placemat procurement.’ I think this sort of captures that boho vibe I’m loving right now. I can’t wait to make something else!

I just listed it in my etsy shop – click HERE to go there now.

Special Gift for a Special Couple

Congratulations to the happy couple, Dylan and Ann Marie.

What do you give an amazing young couple of newlyweds, who love camping and adventure and games and traveling, live out of state and just bought a house and have no idea what they need yet? Money, of course! But I’m not a fan of just sticking a check inside a card and calling it done. I like to add a little extra, which in this case started out as some outdoor-scented candles, soaps, etc. Then I had the idea to make them something and this is what I came up with: a fabric checkerboard! Who doesn’t need one of THOSE?!?! Honestly, I have no idea if they’ll ever use this but it sure was fun to make with them in mind.

Napkins for Denise

Made a set of cloth napkins for my friend, Denise. She’s a food and lifestyle blogger and you really should check out her posts – warning, her photos will make you hungry! Find her on instagram and on her site, mylifecookbook.com

Fun at the Market

Close-up

Got a tattoo from Courtney of CG Creations – I love her artwork!

It’s not real – but I kinda wish it was! It’s henna.

Green Daffodil Spring Pop-up

In case you missed it, here’s my display from the Spring Artist Pop-up at Green Daffodil a few weeks ago. Thanks to all who came and checked out the goods. I expect to be back at a holiday pop-up this November, so stay tuned!

So much fabric, so little time!

Wow, I just scored 5 overflowing bags of aaahhhh-maayyyyy-zing fabric from my favorite upcycling source.

This is my dog Jack, helping me sort it all.

Okay, now we’re getting somewhere…

More piles of delightful designs.

Yarn, too!
